A flavorful beef, veggie and gravy filling is made in a cast iron pan and layered with fluffy, perfectly creamy mashed potatoes and then it's broiled until golden brown. This was my first experience with Shepard's Pie and I loved it! Both my boyfriend and I went back for seconds.
Steps to make Shepard's Pie:
- Heat olive oil in a large saucepan. Cook the minced onion and garlic.

- Place Step 4 into a heat-resistant dish. Top with Step 5. Cut the leek into 1 cm squares and scatter over the top of the pie with the shredded cheese. Bake for 10 minutes at 180°C.
