- Take 1 pinch Salt
- Prepare 1 Egg
- Take 1/4 cup Water
- Prepare 1/4 cup Milk
Kushikatsu is a dish in which meat and vegetables are stabbed on skewers and deep-fried in oil. In Japan, we call a dish in which bread crumbs are added to the ingredients and fried as "~Katsu." It is a Japanese food that is easy to eat even if you are not familiar with chopsticks because you can eat it with the skewer. Steps to make ‘Kushikatsu’ Skewers:
- Cut Meat and Vegetables into similar bite-size pieces. Thread them onto skewers. Lightly season with Salt & Pepper.
- To make batter, mix all ingredients until smooth.
- Heat Oil to 170 to 180℃. Dip a skewer in the batter (OR cover with the batter using a spoon), and drain excess batter. Then coat with Breadcrumbs. Fry until cooked through and golden, and place on a rack and drain the oil. I recommend to cook only a few skewers at a time.
